My Next Step

My Next Steps:

Visiting: If you are interested in our church, please come join us at 41 Johnson St. in Senoia, or watch our church service online which our link can be found here.

Joining the Church: If you are interested in joining the church, then please contact one of our staff and we would love to talk to you about what that means, and what a membership at First Baptist Church looks like.

Getting saved: The Gospel can be looked at like an acronym G.O.S.P.E.L. (God, Our, Sins, Paying, Everyone, Life).

God created us to be with Him (Genesis 1:26)

Our sins separate us from God (Romans 3:23)

Sins cannot be removed by good deeds (Ephesians 2:8-9)

Paying the price for sin, Jesus died and rose again (John 3:16, Romans 6:23, 1 Corinthians 6:20)

Everyone who trusts in Jesus alone has eternal life (Romans 10:9-10)

Life with Jesus starts now and lasts forever. (John 3:16-17, Philippians 1:26-28, Romans 8, Revelation 21)

If you have ever said something bad, unkind, or untrue, have done an evil deed, or have thought an evil thought, then you have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. All of mankind needs saving, and God provided a way for us to be saved through His Son, Jesus Christ. When we put our faith in Jesus Christ and make Him our Lord, we are guaranteed eternal life and salvation from our own sins. Baptism: Baptism is a picture of what Jesus did for us. At First Baptist Church of Senoia, we baptize by immersion following a personal profession that Jesus is the Christ, the son of the Living God, declaring God as our Savior and Lord. Baptism symbolizes His death, burial, and resurrection. He has commanded those who follow him to be baptized.

  • "…those who believed and accepted his message were baptized…" -Acts 2:41
  •  "We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life. For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly also be united with him in a resurrection like his." -Romans 6:4-5
  • "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you." -Matthew 28:19-20
